Shop Fox D2809 Review: Shop Fox D2809 8-Ounce Brass Head Mallet. Pretty nice. Small enough to fit into the somewhat-oversized tool roll I use for my carving chisels. Quality is fine. About a simple a tool as it gets.The one thing that annoys me is that grotesque "SHOP FOX" stenciled across the crown in black letters. I took some abrasive paper and sanded that garbage off. Wouldn't have minded a nice engraved logo. Used to be a time when companies took great care that their branding devices (logos, letting, etc) were aesthetically pleasing.
